Ron Rubin is a Canadian voice actor and writer. He provided the voice of Artemis in the Optimum Productions localizations of Sailor Moon.

Biography[]

Personal Life[]

Ron Rubin was born May 12, 1959 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Rubin graduated from University of Manitoba with degrees in Psychology and Sociology.[2] Ron lived and worked in New York and Los Angeles, he currently resides in Toronto.

Stage and Theater[]

studied acting at the Neighbourhood Playhouse in New York. Rubin has performed with Second City, as well as toured North America as a featured stand-up performer.[2]

Film and Television[]

Rubin has worked for over thirty years in film and television, as "one of the busiest voice actors in the country". In 1989, Robin Rubin provided additional voice work for the animated series for Beetlejuice, and Babar. He is best known for his work in the 1993 animated series X-Men as the character Morph.[2]

In 1996, he provided the voice for the animated character Tark in the PBS educational program, Krats Creatures. From 1997 to 1998, he provided additional voices in the Fox Kids animated series, The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police, an adaptation of the comic book written by Steve Prucell. From 1999 to 2000, he provided the voice of Vision in the Fox Kids produced animated series, Avengers: United They Stand.[2]

He has made guest appearances at numerous Comic Cons including the Los Angeles Anime Expo, Fan Expo in Toronto, Anime Revolution in Vancouver, Central Canada Comic-Con, and Anime North. Ron received the KARI Award for Best Commercial Performance in Television and was a finalist for the ACTRA Award for Best Performance in Voice following two nominations.[2]
